“Myself and my husband employed Phil to convert our attic space into a bedroom with additional boiler room/ storage space.
From the first contact Phil was helpful, friendly and professional. A price and timescale for works was agreed, and a start date given. All works were started on time.
We asked Phil to project manage the conversion and agreed that he would use trusted tradesmen where appropriate, i.e. plasterer, staircase manufacturer, etc. He was able to access these trades to fit in with the timescale, thereby eliminating any delays. He also liaised with the tradesmen that we had arranged, i.e. window fitter and electrician, ensuring the smooth running of the project.
We found Phil to be very accommodating to changes of plan and ideas, and would happily explain if an idea was impractical whilst still giving us the option as to whether to carry on with it or not. All of the work was explained to us as it progressed and at no point did we feel that we were unaware of the next steps.
At the end of each day, Phil would clean up any building mess that had been made and leave the area tidy. We had no worries about leaving Phil in the house alone while we were out and often left the key with him.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Phil to anyone and he would be our only choice if we were to consider any further work. We now consider Phil to be a friend, not just our builder.”
